The presenters will share information on CTE and STEM career pathways that include opportunities to take dual enrollment courses. We will talk about the features of a high quality career pathway and then share information on Bassick High School’s (Bridgeport, CN) Advanced Manufacturing pathway, developed in collaboration with Housatonic Community Colleges.

From Dual Enrollment to Early College High School

Description: In three years’ time, Brownsville Independent School District (BISD) has transitioned from a dual enrollment model providing college credit opportunities exclusively for juniors and seniors to an Early College district with seven state designated Early College High Schools (ECHS). The ECHS design provides college credit opportunities in addition to critical support systems for every student enrolled in the ECHS. This webinar will guide the participant through the critical planning and design components needed for a successful transition to ECHS.
